Quality Report: Cumulative Trend
| Purpose |
- Shows the RATE (slope) that issues are moving through each state.
- The difference in slope between states (lines) shows whether we are finding issues more rapidly than we are fixing them or not.
- All data will converge up top in parallel lines, indicating total number of defects moved through the system.

| Benefits |
Steep slopes mean no end in sight to the undiscovered defects still hiding within the system. The report helps predicts how many more defects will be found. |
| Drawbacks |
A week of no new bugs may hide the number that are still open from an earlier period, but not yet addressed. |
